The Legacy of Young People Awards is an annual event that recognizes and celebrates the contributions and achievements of young individuals who have made a significant impact in their communities or in specific areas such as social activism, entrepreneurship, arts, and sciences. The awards highlight the positive impact that young people can have on society and inspire others to make a difference as well.

The legacy of young people awards is coordinated by Sustainable World Initiatives (NGO), is an annual event now in its 3rd season with theme of
Recognition and inspiring next generation of green leaders and innovators”. This year, we have already conducted several pre-events, including donating schools’ kits, beginning renovations of Kihangaiko Primary School, organizing a river cleanup, and planting trees along the Tegeta River. Our main event will
take place at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre on 20th April 2024, featuring a panel discussion, green exhibition, and recognition awards for young green leaders and innovators.
